Tengku Azlan ibni Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar is a politician. He was the former MP for Jerantut from 1999 to 2013. He started his political career by contesting in the 1995 election as Semangat 46 candidate. He is the brother of Sultan Ahmad Shah and the uncle of Sultan Abdullah. He was awarded the title Tengku Panglima Besar Pahang. Previously, Tengku Panglima Besar was held by Tengku Hassanal before he was promoted to Crown Prince of Pahang. He joined Bersatu and become Bersatu Temerloh Division Chief but later returned to UMNO. He is currently the chairman of Kuantan Port Authority
