Biography
Ramzan Ibrahim possesses a Bachelor of Economics (Applied Economics) from Universiti Malaya. He also underwent the Executive Development Program at Cornell University, and has a PMD from Harvard University.
Upon graduation and a short stint with Nestle Products Malaysia, Dato’ Ramzan joined a prominent international American bank. As Vice-President and Group Head of Real Estate covering Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, Indonesia and India, he was principally involved in the Bank’s direction and supervision of Corporate Lending to the Public and Real Estate sector.
In 1989, Dato’ Ramzan was recruited by a public-listed financial conglomerate as Group Managing Director. Here, he was accredited with turning around, diversifying the group’s operations and spearheading successful corporate acquisitions. He also established new businesses which provided synergies vis-à-vis the financial services of the Group which included joint-ventures with Schroders PLC to set-up an asset management firm, and Scotts Holdings Limited (Singapore) to develop the prestigious Kirana and Ascott Serviced Apartments within the KLCC vicinity in Kuala Lumpur.
