Biography
Tan Sri Dato’ Hashim Meon is from Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan. He has served in the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Service for over 33 years since 1970 and was appointed to several departments and Ministries in various capacities. His last post before retirement was the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence (1999-2003).
His extensive experience covers the fields of Human Resource Management, Information Technology and Communication, Training and Education, including as the Director of the Malaysian Students Department in Sydney, Australia (1976-1980). He previously served as the Selangor State Secretary (1995-1999), where he was also appointed Chairman of the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS) from 1995 until 1999.
Tan Sri Dato’ Hashim Meon was appointed as a Member of TH’s Board of Directors since 1 January 2011 and as a Member of Theta Edge Berhad’s Board of Directors on 1 July 2011.
