A Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigating officer said he found it strange that Yayasan Al-Falah, a charitable foundation which belonged to the younger brother of Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, was only managed by three people.

Court sets July date to start Zahid's trial

Zahid was slapped with a fresh criminal breach of trust (CBT) charge in relation to the alleged abuse of Yayasan Akal Budi funds at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court.

Ahmad Zahid was first charged in October 2018 with 45 counts of CBT involving RM20.83 million, receiving RM21.25 million in gratification as the then home affairs minister, and laundering RM72.07 million in funds.
10 of the 45 charges concerned CBT amounting to more than RM20.8 million of Yayasan Akal Budi funds on various occasions between 2014 and 2016
