Rayyan Radzwill Abdullah, a Jepak business partner, said the payment was made by Saidi in two separate submissions and Saidi even informed him of the amount after the payment was made.

In his witness statement, Rayyan said the first payment amounting to RM5 million was made through Rosmah's former assistant Rizal Mansor as a contribution to Rosmah "as promised" for helping Jepak obtain a letter of agreement for the project.
