Project Light Rail Transit Line 3 (Lrt3-Gs04) of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The Klang Valley Light Rail Transit Line 3 (KVLRT3) project is situated at Persiaran Kerjaya, south-west of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is about 35 km away from Port Klang and about 60 km from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Running from Bandar Utama to Johan Setia, the line is approximately 38 km in length with 2 km underground section and 36km elevated sections. This LRT3-GS04 tender section is around 4.6 km, including two guideways and three stations, which are Station 8 (Station Temasya), Station 9 (Station Glenmarie), and Station 10 (Station Stadium).

The LRT3 line is to serve as a backbone transport system of Kuala Lumpur, and will mainly cover areas with high population density such as job catchment areas, commercial and residential districts, centres of education and recreation, to minimize and alleviate traffic congestion along the highways/roads towards the western corridor of Klang Valley and to provide passengers with greater traffic conveniences. As the future demand and growth centre, the LRT3 line will substantially improve the local traffic efficiency.
